How to Download Facebook Videos

Downloading videos from Facebook using Forensic OSINT requires accessing the correct page for the video.

Follow these steps to ensure successful downloads.

Important Notes

• Videos cannot be downloaded from the popup window or the main news feed page where the URL does not change.
• Videos can only be downloaded when the URL contains 'watch' or 'reel'.
• Videos in Marketplace cannot be downloaded at this time.

Steps to Access the Downloadable Page

1. Copy the Video Link: Use either of the following methods:
   • Option A: Click the "Copy" button below the video.
   • Option B: Click the "Share" button, then select "Copy Link."
   
2. Paste the Link in the Browser: Open a new tab in Chrome, paste the copied link into the address bar, and press Enter. This will redirect you to the actual video page.
3. Download the Video: Once on the correct page, use Forensic OSINT to download the video.
   

   NOTE: To download videos from Facebook, you need to Include your Authentication Cookie

   If you choose to include your authentication cookie, it will be securely sent to the Forensic OSINT Video Download Server for processing. This cookie is stored temporarily in memory only and is never written to disk.

   Once the video download is complete, both the video container and authentication cookie are permanently deleted from our servers.

   Note: Video downloads may take between 20 seconds and 20+ minutes, depending on video length and quality. We strive to obtain the highest quality version available.

Downloading Facebook Reels

1. Access the Reel Page: When viewing a Reel, ensure the URL contains 'reel' (e.g., facebook.com/reel/123456789).
2. Navigate Between Reels: Each time you swipe or click to view a new Reel, the URL changes automatically to reflect the video currently being viewed.
3. Download the Reel: Once you land on the desired video, use Forensic OSINT to download it directly from the updated URL.
